Affiliate program
Terms & commission policy
Last updated: 27 April 2026
By creating an affiliate account on The Booking Advisor (“the platform”) you agree to the terms below. We’ve kept them short and plain.
1. How you earn
Two ways:
- Active sharing. When someone clicks your unique referral link or your video share link and books on the platform within 60 days, you earn 50% of the platform commission on that booking. Last-click attribution applies.
- Hotel Rep. If you invite a hotel to list on the platform via your invite link (
/invite/{your-code}) and they sign up, you become that hotel’s Rep. As the Rep you earn 20% of the platform commissionon every confirmed booking that hotel takes, automatically — including bookings where no other affiliate’s link was used. This is in addition to (not stacked with) any commissions earned via active sharing on the same booking.
2. Commission payout
- Earnings appear in your dashboard within 24 hours of a confirmed booking and clear after the booking’s cancellation window passes.
- Minimum payout: ₹4,000. Paid via your selected method (UPI / bank / PayPal) within 5 business days of request.
- Cancelled, refunded, or chargeback bookings reverse the commission.
3. Fair use
- No paid search bidding on platform brand keywords (e.g. “The Booking Advisor”).
- No spamming, deceptive promotion, or self-referral. Hosts and hotel owners cannot earn commission on their own listings.
- No misrepresenting yourself as a platform employee. You may describe yourself as “a representative for The Booking Advisor” only when promoting hotels you actively recruited.
4. Platform discretion
The platform may, at its sole discretion and without prior notice:
- Suspend or terminate any affiliate account for violation of these terms.
- Revoke Rep status on any individual hotel — for example, in response to complaints from the hotel owner, repeated guest complaints, inactivity, or breach of fair-use rules. Past commissions already paid are not clawed back; future commissions on that hotel will not accrue.
- Reassign Rep status to another affiliate where appropriate.
- Adjust commission rates for new bookings with at least 30 days’ notice via the dashboard.
Decisions on Rep revocation are not appealable but we’ll explain the reason on request.
5. Tax
You’re responsible for declaring affiliate earnings as income in your jurisdiction. We don’t withhold tax. For Indian payees we issue a Form 16A summary annually.
6. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes are posted to your dashboard at least 14 days before they take effect.
